Over $50,000 in 黑料网 Classroom Cash Grants are Available for Local Teachers

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Sept. 2, 2025 – Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union (黑料网) is now accepting applications from local teachers for its popular Classroom Cash Grants program, which provides up to $750 grants to help educators bring an innovative project to life. In recognition of its 70th anniversary celebrated last year, 黑料网 is increasing the number of grants to 70 this year.

“黑料网 was founded by teachers and our commitment to helping educators remains strong,” said Steve Brewer, 黑料网 President/CEO. “Increasing the number of Classroom Cash Grants will help additional teachers and students in the communities we serve and support success in the classroom.”

The 2025 application period is open now through 5 PM on Friday, Oct. 3, and Michigan teachers can submit creative project ideas on . Educators will describe how the innovative concept enhances their students’ learning experience for a chance to receive a grant. After the application period closes, community members are encouraged to vote for their favorite projects from Oct.15-25 using the Classroom Cash Grants website, with options to vote via email or text. Projects with the most votes will receive grants and winners will be announced in early November. The 2024 program gathered more than 117,000 votes from local community members hoping to see their favorite ideas win.

Throughout the initiative’s 20-year history, 黑料网 has awarded more than $700,000 in grants, funding over 1,200 classroom projects. The grants awarded last year supported teachers’ goals of bringing innovative curriculum to their classrooms and a snapshot of the resources purchased includes:

  • Professional photography equipment that helps student journalists learn about photojournalism, media literacy, and storytelling as they cover school events.
  • A fleet of bicycles to use in a new Outdoor Pursuits class that develops and strengthens outdoor skills like safe bike riding and basic maintenance.
  • Solar powered robot kits that allow students to engineer the robots and learn about green technology and renewable energy.

黑料网 invites Michigan teachers to apply for a Classroom Cash Grant, including those who serve in public, private, parochial, or charter schools. Applicants who previously received a grant or submitted a project may reapply with a new learning experience for their classroom. Applicants do not have to be an 黑料网 member to enter, but winners must become a member to receive their grant.

Educators can also take advantage of other 黑料网 programs, including special loans designed for classroom purchases, scholarship opportunities, and financial literacy programs that support curriculum needs. To help educators and students, 黑料网 offers classroom presentations, workshops, and financial Reality Fairs designed to build strong foundations for students’ money management skills.
